Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is RAD?RAD is a declining balance account tied to your Campus Access Card (Campus Access Card). Make a deposit into your RAD account and you can swipe your card all over campus and at participating merchants to pay for the things you use everyday. Where is my RAD account? Do I need a separate card?RAD is an account located on your Campus Access Card, which means no more digging into your spending money, late night stops at the ATM or charging up credit cards. How do I sign up?Contact the Campus Card Office to open a RAD account and begin experiencing the great benefits. How do I add money to my RAD account?Adding money is simple! Click the "Add Money" button on the left and you can add money online. Where can RAD be used off campus?To see a full list of participating locations, click on the Participating Locations tab to the left of the page. We are always growing that list, so please let us know which of your favorite places we should add by emailing us at info@offcampussolutions.com. Can RAD be used on campus too?Yes, RAD can be used both on campus AND off campus. Check out our list of participating merchants. What happens if I lose my Campus Access Card?If you card is stolen, you must contact two (2) departments. One (1) to deactivate purchases and services and one (1) to deactivate the card access. You should deactivate your purchases and services as soon as possible upon discovering your card is missing by accessing the online web site at campuscard.rpi.edu. The online web site is available 24/7 or you can contact the Campus Card Office during normal business hours. You should deactivate your card access as soon as possible upon discovering your card is missing by contacting the Department of Public Safety at (518) 276-6656. The Department of Public Safety is available 24/7. When you obtain your new card, your account balance will be available immediately. A lost card does not mean lost money, if it is reported promptly.
